So... What has been going through my head is it that we just moved here and still have boxes to unload and don't want to do the last of the last.
Truly - I don't care about doing that!! I DON'T CARE! oops
I can tell you it reminds me of along along time ago - back when I was about oh eight I had a record player (ok you hear a song in this) and Carly Simon had these records called the Rosie Something (probably could look it up). Anyway there was a song that was called I Don't Care.
It was Very VIVID and made a great point and I think of it all the time when I get to this point and I want to share it with you all.
read the first chapter then listen to the story - if you have kids listen with them it is a good video to watch for adults and kids and has a great moral!!
Pierre
Carole King
[Prologue:]
There was once a boy named Pierre

Who only would say, I don't care!
Read his story, my friend, for you'll find
At the end that a suitable
Moral lies there
[Chapter I]
One day his mother said
When Pierre climbed out of bed
-Good morning, darling boy, you are my only joy
Pierre said-I don't care!
-What would you like to eat?
-I don't care!
-Some lovely cream of wheat?
-I don't care!
-Don't sit backwards in your chair
-I don't care!
-Or pour syrup on your hair
-I don't care!
-You are acting like a clown
-I don't care!
-And we have to go to town
-I don't care!
-Don't you want to come, my dear?

-I don't care!
-Would you rather stay right here?
-I don't care!
So his mother left him there

What a memory you have. I vaguely remember the story. I do sort of remember that phase. I think you passed it on to your brother too!
That was very cute. Where do you find these things? ~ Mel
All from my childhood, my head, I can't get it out. It's all in there. You knew I was a little off. Well Anyway there is a place called youtube and you can find almost anything old like the old songs you used to sing "conjunction junction" stuff like that. Anyway. It's how I found Kermit's Green song and other stuff. You can click outside the arrow and it will take you to it's site. Now, beware I still have many other things.... up here in my brain.... but then most of the time... I don't care to share... or wait isn't it you don't care to hear... or well back to the thinking part again... now if I could only get the music out of my head again.
I used to care about EVERYTHING, but I learned to let go of the little things. I don't care. I don't care if my laundry is folded and I didn't get to putting it away off the couch right away. I don't care if my house is not perfect, or that my kids might have to "think" for themselves for a moment while I tend to something else. I don't care that they don't put their napkin in the lap immediately when they sit to dinner. I don't care if they are not perfect because they can't possibly be....God made them to learn, experience, feel, do. I love them just the way they are. Now why can't everyone else?
You know Andrea, I tried to care, I really did but all I could do was remember when I brought Corbin (age 10 month old) Torrey age 1 1/2 to your apartment with the glass table. You remember and you said - "Oh, my kids will know not to touch these things....
so my answer is
"I Don't Care" either - I knew it then... so wanted to tell you life changes poop gets under your nails - you smell it all day - its life -
KIDS throw fits in the Mall saying
"I Don't Care" all day long it is so much fun isn't it!!!
truth is we as adult are in a society of "I Don't Care" too.
We should all make our husbands watch the video ;)
LOL
